**Guests who require special accommodations or other assistance should purchase tickets first and then contact us directly at ask@metrochicago.com to make accommodation arrangements. Please contact us at least two weeks prior to the event so we can make appropriate arrangements and offer the best possible assistance, as seating is limited**
smartbar resides in a 100-year-old Auditorium Hall. Due to its historical nature, there may be structural limitations on accessibility for guests who are mobility challenged. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) passed in 1990, smartbar has removed structural barriers when readily achievable to do so. When making determinations regarding accessibility and providing assistance, patron safety is of the utmost importance and our policies are in place to make sure that all patrons may be evacuated safely in the event of an emergency.
To access the club there is one flight of stairs down to the basement level. Unfortunately this means we are not wheelchair accessible. Gender neutral bathrooms are on either side of the main bar area on that same level. There are a total of three steps up to access the slightly raised dance floor.
Limited seating is available for our guests with special needs and may be reserved upon request. To reserve seating, please contact our staff at ask@metrochicago.com at least two weeks prior to the event. Seating is allocated on a first come-first served basis. If assistance is needed while onsite, please notify a staff member.
Hearing Assistance Requests:
If you require hearing assistance for an event, please email us directly at ask@metrochicago.com with at least three weeks notice.
Per City of Chicago guidelines, guests are not required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or wear a mask in order to attend an event. However, vaccinations are still strongly encouraged for the continued health and safety of our shared community. If you feel sick or display any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and avoid public spaces.
We will continue to honor specific wishes of our artists or event organizers. In those instances, we will notify ticket buyers of any changes that would affect our current policy as it stands.
We encourage all patrons to “Know Before You Go” and refer to the venue’s website prior to purchasing tickets and attending shows for all of the most current information and protocols.
